The early access launch follows last month’s nine-day “priority migration” period, during which existing v0.1 stakers were able to transfer their staked LINK and rewards to the new version. Chainlink Staking v0.2 comes with an expanded pool size of 45 million LINK.
Decentralized computing protocol Chainlink is crypto’s most popular oracle network that provides remote, real data to blockchain applications. Chainlink staking first went live a year ago. This move increased the usability of the token and allowed LINK holders to support the performance of oracle services. Holders can earn rewards for helping secure the network.
Initially, it was exclusively open to staking to secure the Ethereum ETH

Bet up to 15,000 LINK
With the early access, “eEligible participants now have the opportunity to stake up to 15,000 LINK,” the statement said. “Early Access lasts for four days, before Staking v0.2 moves to General Access, where anyone can stake up to 15,000 LINK, provided the pool that has “not yet filled.”
The 45 million LINK represents “8% of the current circulating supply,” the statement said.
With this new version, Chainlink aims to provide a more flexible unwinding mechanism that will allow stakers to withdraw their staked tokens more efficiently. It also aims to improve safety guarantees. The modular architecture aims to enable greater adaptability, which will facilitate the integration of future upgrades and improvements with greater ease.
