About Alessandro Fiori

Alessandro Fiori’s journey into the world of art began during his childhood, despite his family’s hopes for a medical career. Fueled by his passion for visual storytelling, he embarked on a path in Industrial Design with a specialized focus on automotive aesthetics after completing high school. Alessandro’s career blossomed as he secured a role as a designer at a prestigious Italian studio upon graduation, while also taking on a role as a university lecturer.

Within a few years, he joined Ferrari’s illustrious design team, contributing to the creation of iconic models such as the Purosangue and the highly anticipated Supercar, slated for release in the near future. Today, Alessandro Fiori continues to play a pivotal role in the automotive sector, leading as a Team Leader at Ferrari. His responsibilities encompass overseeing the entire car design process, from the initial research stage through industrialization to the official vehicle presentation.

How He Got into Web3

While Alessandro’s artistic and design passions took a back seat to his burgeoning career after college, a remarkable woman rekindled the flames of his artistic spirit. On their first date, he sketched a heartfelt picture for her on a placemat, an act she treasured. Over the following three years, their dining occasions became opportunities for Alessandro to create extraordinary pieces of art on handkerchiefs and scraps of paper.

Tragically, she passed away in 2018, causing Alessandro to abandon drawing altogether. This year, as a tribute to their anniversary and her love for New York City, he curated an exhibition featuring all the drawings he had lovingly gifted her over the years. For Alessandro, Web3 represents the means to fulfill this heartfelt aspiration.

Design Process

Alessandro Fiori firmly believes that every creative journey is unique. Although car design might appear constraining due to the focus on utility and requirements, creativity can surmount these challenges through imaginative and intuitive thinking. In the realm of creative design, untouched by the influence of engineers or marketers, it’s Alessandro armed with an iPad, a pen, and an abundant well of passion.

He occasionally wrestles with overthinking, pondering the possibility that those who have passed may be patiently anticipating our return. In “After All This Time,” his objective was to paint a picture of a girl journeying to an unfamiliar world, where everything operates in reverse.

The train she boards bears the wear and tear from the many passengers who have traveled before, now empty after everyone has disembarked. She waits with a heavy heart and dwindling hope, yearning for her beloved to step through those carriage doors, no matter how long it may take.
