The total value (TVL) in decentralized finance protocols (DeFi) exceeded $100 billion for the first time in almost two years.
The last time TVL in DeFi exceeded $100 billion was on May 11, 2022, according to The Block’s Data Dashboard. On that day, DeFi TVL was $112.67 billion.
“The recent recovery in crypto asset prices has helped TVL to grow in USD terms, but there is also increased interest in DeFi with new categories such as RWA and rebalancing attracting significant attention and also increasing the amount of funds locked through DeFi protocols,” said Rebecca. Stevens, senior research analyst at The Block.
