TORONTO, CANADA (Oct 18, 2024) – The Canadian Podcast Awards (CPA), the nation’s premier celebration of podcasting excellence, is thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for the seventh annual awards.
Since its inception in 2018, the Canadian Podcast Awards have been a catalyst for growth and recognition in the Canadian podcasting landscape. The awards, which span 31 categories, have not only showcased the extraordinary talent and creativity of Canadian podcasters but have also played a vital role in elevating the industry as a whole. By celebrating the best of the best, the CPA has attracted new listeners, investors, and talent to the Canadian podcasting scene, fostering a more vibrant and dynamic ecosystem.
It’s been a great experience: from being introduced to the podcasting community and getting the chance to meet fans face to face, to earning the respect of our peers, getting our show out there, and getting more opportunities as a result.
Niall Spain, No Quest for the Wicked, winner of last year’s Fiction and Production Awards
Last year saw record-breaking engagement, with over 1,100 podcast professionals casting more than 2,400 votes across 585 nominated podcasts. This peer-driven voting process, judged exclusively by industry members, highlights the high standards and commitment to excellence that the CPA represents.
We are excited to continue our mission of recognizing and celebrating the amazing work being done by Canadian podcasters. The CPA has grown significantly over the years, and we are proud of the impact we have had on the industry.
