Liquid staking protocol Prisma Finance appears to have been hacked in an ongoing exploit.
Web3 security platform Cyvers leads the way detected the suspicious transactions, estimating a total loss of around $9 million so far, with claims that the attacker was funded through the crypto exchange FixedFloat.
Blockchain security company PeckShield too confirmed the attack, indicating that Prisma mkUSD and wrapped sETH are among the stolen assets.
“We are aware of a possible exploit on Prisma,” says Prisma Finance responded at X. “The key technical contributors will pause the protocol and investigate it. We will share an update and an autopsy.”
The project too recommended that vault owners should disable delegate approval.
Prisma Finance did not immediately return a request for comment from The Block.
